It took BMW weeks to finally email me the code. Therefore, I called them directly and it took 10 seconds to give it to me over the phone. |

Great that definitely sounds worth it to get $1k off. Is it bad to go to an event at a dealer where you will not buy a car? The closest ones in my area most likely will not be competitive to larger dealerships

I did the event and called the dealer the same day and though I hadn't received my code yet, he was able to find the code in his system and apply it to a car. I would say do the event and then contact your dealer and tell them to check because while the incentive might be listed in their system you might not get an email for a while. |

What should be the typical upfront costs of a car with 0 down? The dealer is saying $1917 which is first month of $299, then registration, fees and taxes. Does this seem high or is this normal? Maybe the $795 acquisition fee is in there?

Yeah... that sounds about right. Your CA registration will be close to $400 plus the acquisition fee is now $925. Plus misc. "doc" fees and all.
