Arrow 2012 F30 3-series spotted in live testing for first time (pics as of 11/10/09)

As featured on E90post Homepage.

The next generation F30 3-series was just spotted in live testing for the first time, on the streets of Munich.

The previous set of photos featured the car on a flatbed truck.

That's not part of the actual tail light. At least I would hope not.

Correct and correct. These photos are most useful to tell proportion, shape, and size. Details like the bodywork and lights, etc. are all still completely covered.

I love the fakeout window outline

Hilarious. It never ceases to amaze me what guys write when these TOTALLY CAMO'D mules are photographed. You literally can't tell jack friggin' squat about the car's styling because the entire thing is covered in plastic. The only non-disguised pieces are the roof, B pillars, and wheels. Even those mirrors could be fake. All we CAN tell is that BMW is testing the new F30.

You can tell that the front has more of an overhang like the new 7. And the rear trunk area is more square which is a good thing. The current rear on the 3 is too wavy. Must be an xi....front gap!

For the most part, the front and rear bumper aren't even going to be the real production ones. As stated above you can mostly just see proportions. At least they beefed up the braking system. I don't like the fact thats there's a bit more of an overhang in the front. Guess we'll have to wait another year and see what's up

it's what's under the skin that's important. Suspension dynamics, powertrain, brakes, etc. That's what a BMW is.

damn they weren't kidding when they said the pedestrian safe hoods are gonna make car look a bit wierd. That's a big hump. And trunk looks quite big as well now. But - proportions look good to me.

If you look closely, even the test driver is a mannequin.

Nice mirrors, especially compared to the LCI ones

Great profile and proportion. We can see the bumper sculpture from these photos.
