328i M peformance exhaust hp gains?

Since active autowerke claims 9hp/13tq, does that mean that power can be gained from the M performance exhaust as well?

Axle backs are worthless imho. Get something for a decent price which is downpipe back. Do these cars have the cats in the middle of the downpipe as well?

No. Just a leaner, meaner G R O W L.
More meaner than leaner.
Ok, so it's not even leaner.
At all.

I saw 7whp 20ft lbs with a catback. That was likely mostly muffler. I would say the MP units likely give little hp, within variance in dyno runs, say 2-3whp.

I've just installed my m performance exhaust for my 328i.
Although I don't think there's any said hp gain but I can feel a little more power from it and the turbo sounds a bit louder too. Must be from the better air flow.
So far I'm loving the exhaust, a little bit louder would suit me more, so by time when I get my bms and dp that should sort out all my problems.
Cheers

Is there a resonator on the 328? I see a can near the middle and not sure if that is the resonator or cats?

Yes that center can in the exhaust is a resonator.

So did anyone removed it like most do it on the e90?
Surprised that the BMW Perf Exhaust does not remove it on the F30 but it does on the e90

Nope AA axle back is catless which I experienced & notice a huge difference in torque, axle back is worthless if it's catted but catless will make a difference.

First time I've read there's a cc in that section of the exhaust. Last I knew there was one in the mid- and one in the down-pipe. From your other post your AA system is also droning, which I have to say I wouldn't be a fan of.

yes it does drone if you installed CATLESS downpipe too not alone of course and not all the time just certain times in hot weather ONLY but given the sound everyone is going crazy what exhaust is making that sexier sound than a stock 335i, no one believes this is coming from a 4 banger.. aside all that maybe what's causing the drone is a leak

is cat the same as resonator? I was referring to the resonator that is located smack in the middle of the pipes. I know the downpipe is in the front.

Add a catless downpipe and it will definitely change the sound but not planning to do that yet.

Just bought the MPE and wanted a bit more sound from it and therefore was considering in removing the resonator and replace it with a straight pipe.
Would that do anything of will it just make the interior noise worst.

No, a "cat" is a catalytic converter. A resonator produces the sound a manufacturer wants and is also designed to deliver performance at a certain rpm range. Fiddling with resonators often reduces performance as well as creating pollution issues if you live somewhere that performs pollution testing on cars.
