A 3-Series crossover? I find that highly unlikley, it would defeat the purpose of the X models.

The "3 GT" is happening, it's been confirmed. For whatever reason.

Seems odd considering they will be releasing the X1 soon which seems to be a very similar vehicle (and better looking at that).

I can't stand this trend of making more and more "crossovers" and mini-SUVs. The SUV is a useless vehicle 95% of the time anyway, so what's the point of removing its one useful feature (high ground clearance and the ability to go offroad). It's like taking the worst of all worlds: crossovers are ugly, they handle poorly, they're heavy, they can't go off road, they don't handle snow any better than sedans, and they're not any more spacious than sedans.

Completely useless. But of course, they are trendy, so people will continue to eat them up and BMW will continue to waste time making more of them instead of doing something useful like making LSD's, or finding ways to reduce weight.
