just wishing bec i'm getting mine for euro delivery next year. b9 a4 and new mb c-series will be released next year, but as you said, MY2012 was short so they might wait 1 more year before reacting to the newly refreshed models from the competition.

Hope they sell that M Sport brake package separately. Or a third party to sell a retrofit. And cheaper....

I checked ETK. 2NH has a lot of parts that are different from the standard brakes. The complete retrofit package would be prohibitively expensive, to the point where an aftermarket big brake kit would end up being cheaper.

In a perfect world, BMW would get out of the entertainment electronics business and just give us a cleverly designed iPad dock (or Android) on the dash. Either would be better than NBT and likely what's coming after NBT (thanks Harman/Becker). Mount the iDrive controller and connect it to the Lightning Connector (or via BT) and write an app to control the tablet. Case closed.

Only issue would be tablet theft. Maybe allow coding of the tablet to the car so its rendered useless if removed. When an updated tablet is released BMW can charge to code the new tablet to the car.... Just a thought that would need to be expanded upon through engineering. I'm quite sure a "Locked" tablet can be made for BMW. I'd be OK with that.
I am wishing for this to happened for the past 2 years. When I saw F30 interior for the first time I thought they "stick" iPad into dashboard… I wish they did

Does M Sport brake package - comes ONLY in Blue?

If calipers for M Sport brake package comes only in Blue… they will look good only on Estoril Blue car. Strange, why they would not offer at least a few color option as they did with M Performance brake.

Thinking about ordering M Sport Wht/Coral Red and still add M Sport brak (even blue) and later find a way to make then red… even if I have to paint them.

Any thoughts?

Did this get confirmed by anyone?

I've been waiting and hoping that there would be an alternative to Black with Red, Red, Light Grey on the Sport Line seats...would really suck to have to wait until March 2014!

Link? The 335is came with big 4-pot Brembos already, and I thought the M Sport brakes were basically bigger discs and bigger calipers. I'm sure those simpler parts would be cheaper than a full M Performance brake kit.

Here's what's different on F30 328i with 2NH:

- steering column lower joint (diagram 32_2076)
- rotors and protection plates (32_1949 front and 32_1970 rear)
- brake servo (32_1967)
- calipers and pads (32_2012 front and 32_2033 rear)

Oh. I was more curious for 335i M Sports. But yes, 328i have very different brake systems.

The reason I was thinking about 328i is 335i already has better brakes, 2NH is less of an upgrade there. And as far as parts go, for 335i 2NH is strictly rotors, calipers, and pads.

Hey guys so looking around other than price tweaks here and there would the only difference between 2013 and 2014 be the...

Additional functionality to the Sports Automatic.
Newer navigation system. (slight tweaking of packaging)
Additional option of M-sport Brakes for the M-sport line.
(slight tweaking of driver assistant packaging)
(slight tweaking of interior color options and packaging)

Going from that, it appears that in the 2014s the ONLY difference between nav ($2150) and tech package ($3150) is the heads up display so here's my question.

Is the heads up display worth it for $1000?
Would you rather have the HUD or park distance control + backup camera?
Would you rather have the HUD or HK sound system?
Would you rather have the HUD or M-sport brakes?

Thanks.

Although I am not a F30 owner yet, I feel it is safe to say I would (and will) go for the HUD over backup sensors and camera. I am amazed at the interest i see here for the driver assistance packages. The only thing I desire in those packages is the speed limit data, but I'm not paying $2k to get it!

BTW... What is the added functionality of the Sport Auto for 2014?

I have all of those options, I actually have every option except Parking Assistant. HUD is awesome. If you have to give up one thing, probably M-sport brakes. You listen to the HK everyday, and can always use the back up camera.

I like how these options stack up better than 2013... I'll go for the side/top view cameras separately for $750, and happily skip the $1900 driver plus package.

* Edit - Actually, all in, it looks like it will be $150 more than the way I had planned a 2013, and that's without active blind spot detection. But I guess that's not bad considering all the improvements, and I can skip the stuff in the driver plus package that I never really wanted anyway (active driving assistant, etc.)

That si what I did, skipped driver plus and just ordered top and side camera package instead and saved money.

remind me again, the option 2NH for a 335i Msport is really only an upgrade for the rear fixed 2 piston calipers (and possibly rotor size)? Possibly also painted blue? The fronts are exactly the same.

M sport line already has the upgraded pads, so 2NH is not really an upgrade in pads?

Frank, did you place your order already? If so, when, and with which dealer? (Mine is still telling me that he hasn't seen any allocations yet... : /

No. 2NH is an all around upgrade even when compared to 335i brakes.
