Felosenco's Mild Mod Thread

Hi All,

Have been lurking and learning for a while now, so thought it was time I shared and contributed. Got my Glacier Silver 428 M Sport Gran Coupe mid January after a 3 month wait, which I thought was a long time until I read that some of you have waited 6 months. Ordered it with 6 sp manual, HK Audio, tinting, Burled Walnut / Oyster trim and black Dakota leather. Wanted the M Performance side sill decals to be on the car when I picked it up, but the dealer told me that they are not yet available for F36.

Car on delivery day. Red aftermarket rim protectors put on by dealer.

Only mod done so far is the M Performance side sill decals. Ordered them off eBay for F32 (F32 and F36 share same wheelbase & side skirts) and then got a local professional to install them $150AU.

Mods for next month are carbon fibre look for back of mirrors, bimmerangs and rear diffuser. Local guy is immersion coating all of this for just $700AU.

For those of you interested in the technology, here's the website:

http://immersionimaging.com.au

Keen on the quad exhaust look and sound, but will be some time in the future. The stock exhaust is just way too quiet

Thank you. I find detailing it once a fortnight to be very therapeutic, and the 3 days a week I get to drive it puts a massive smile on my face.

ss0803,

I see that you have the wagon/estate, I was all set to order an M Sport F31 and then they released the F36. Still really like the F31 though

I need the wagon for practical reasons, but it looks great too.

the 4 gc is my favorite of all

everything looks great

You should add an M Performance exhaust to your list of mods to set off the sound of that beauty

Yes it's a toss up between a 435 MPE and a quad pipe system

Got my car back from Immersion Imaging during the week and I'm very happy with the results.

Rear diffuser

Mirror cap

These pics were taken in the garage before I washed it tonight. I'll post some more tomorrow when the sun is out.

Wow, the F36 really does look good in Glacier Silver!
Great ride, liking the mods so far! From the pics it seems it could look even better with 10mm spacers on the rear wheels.

The F36 is really tempting me as a successor for my F31.

Thanks, I actually did a model designation delete when I ordered the car as I was after a symmetrical look. Now all I have to do is change the exhaust to one or two pipes each side.

In Australia we have the option of the 442 wheels or the 403 style wheels with the M-Sport package. The 442 look good as well, but I'm so glad I went with the 403 as I believe that most people will just go with the 442, making it a bit more unique.

Yep, spacers is next on the list. I'm also thinking to change out the kidney grilles to M4 double slat style dipped in the carbon look, but have the outside ring as chrome.

I was trying to wait for the fog to lift before taking photos, but I got impatient. Here's some better shots of the carbon look parts and a close up of the wheel which polishes up very nicely .

The rim protector is in 2 parts, a channel available in black or silver/grey which is glued to the face of the rim and then a hard bead just clicks into the channel. The bead is available in many colours. http://www.rimpro-tec.com

I would really like to lower it 10-15mm, but as I'm leasing I need to keep mods OEM or close to it .
