I hate stopping to fill up and this doesn't help, last few tanks I have been getting around 400 miles.
I get 400-465 miles to a tank...short of a diesel, that's pretty awesome for any car sold in the US.

My Evo got 210 miles to a tank...how annoying is that?!
My wife's RDX, lucky to get 230 miles...so a matter of perspective.

Sadly it is probably to achieve better CO2/Fuel economy numbers. The tests require a 90% tank fill. You can save a few kilo's by having a smaller tank.

My C220CDi does 700-750 miles to a tank, not looking forward to spending more time in a fuel station.

My thinking as well, anything that reduces weight. Also with higher mpg figures, theoretically you still get the same sort of range, so why carry the fuel around anyway?

Sorry guys, I was having a senior moment yesterday (nearing 40!) and missed the typos on my post.
Tank average figures should read 500-550, with a full tank registering 590.

Going to have another lie down now

Have to agree; annoying me a little too - my E92 held 65 litres. As for MPG, I'm only getting around 43MPG with a mix of motorway & A roads. Expected better but only done 1k miles so far and I like to cruise at 85+ on the motorway

Absolutely blown away by the mpg for such a big car

Are you back driving a 330D again??? Your old one repaired?

My car has been so much more economical recently now that it's properly run in and warmer outside. Easy to get 50mpg now.

Yes, mine is back......am really enjoying this car. As a package of compromises (sad reality of cars unless your name is Ecclestone ) the F30 330D is simply AWESOME

All I need now is a bigger compressor wheel and those super sexy 335i G-Zoom pipes.

Real world economy seems to be getting worse on petrol! My E46 2 litre Coupe used to average 36/37 MPG, and my E92 2 Litre Coupe averaged 33/34 MPG while my F31 is struggling to manage 30 MPG. Mileage and journeys shorter now which may help to explain it but either way more stops. Still, extra Nectar points but may be tempted back to the dark side next time.

Im getting between 34.5 - 36.5 and im reasonably happy at that. I was getting 45 ish in my old 116d so the net fuel cost increase is negligable over 12000 miles. Loving the raspy engine note from my 320i so no regrets here

400 miles out of a rank isnt that bad, used to 450 ish out of the 116d so I can cope with that.

It is a nice engine especially the power step when it goes over 4500 RPM. Hoping it will improve when fully run in, longer journeys and warmer weather. Sure it's nothing to do with the way I drive

My average at the moment is around 35 to 38 MPG, in which is not to bad. General mixture of town & motorway. I'm happy

That's very good, when I had the loan 330d vehicle I only achieved 44mpg average over 200 miles, did have a bit of play at times mind.

Having a play does make a big difference, as well as the temp outside and the car being run in. At the end of my commute I can get the 50mpg average to drop very quickly

My F31 330D MS has covered 4500 miles and returns 48 MPG on cruising runs.
Blasting 40MPG now thats good for me.
Still pining for the M5 though, could not quite get what I was after on the deal.
Will try again in November time as the F31 will not have lost hardly anything still then compared to now. The M5 will have been updated also.
When will we see the M3/4 ?.
