For most of us, a fine timepiece is not at all about telling time. No one needs a Rolex to tell the time as you've pointed out. As well, none of us needs a 335i M sport to get to work and the grocery store. In both cases, it's all about our love for beatiful things.

My first time posting to the forum after getting my 135i two weeks ago--my face is really sore from all of the grinning.

Anyway, this thread really hits another of my buttons!

This weekend, I'm wearing my Explorer II as I head out for yet another road-trip.

However, my other watches are also getting rides now and then--with the exception of the Vacheron, which is currently at the spa for some work.

Niiice collection!

Looks like, on occasion, you swap in a black bezel on the LV, which really makes it look like an entirely different watch.

Also really liking two that are also on my list: The vintage 1665 and the Speedmaster (hoping for a cal 321 when the time comes).

Today, I'm wearing my DSSD. My DD lately has been an IWC Top Gun Miramar on Baseball Glove strap.

Yes, I put the Black insert in while on vacation in order to reduce the risk of scratching the Green one.

There is a technique to it, plus you have to use a plastic knife or one covered with masking tape and not push too hard or you will ding your lug. I don't change them out too often.
