Will this setup work? input on Wheel setup needed.
Hello everyone,
I currently have a white 328i xDrive Classic line and am looking at upgrading my wheels to, 19" Alufelgen SF-71s in Titanium Gunmetal 19x8.5 fronts - 35mm offset 19x9.5 rears - 35mm offset I'd like to put Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110s Tire Size Front: 235/35-19 Tire Size Rear: 265/30-19 Would this keep me to stock diameter? Would this setup work on an xDrive? Would I have any problems with this setup? Your thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated. ^.^ Last edited by Trowa; 03-22-2013 at 01:53 PM.. |

I have asked plenty of questions concerning many topics on this forum.
You won't find much answer cause the car is still new and not many people have it or have enough experience with the car to have any concrete inputs. Over on e90post, you'll probably get your answer within minutes of posting. You'll notice that there aren't many post in general in this forum. I am not an expert on the xDrive suspension and how it differs from the measurements of a RWD car, but your sizes and offsets are pretty conservative so I wouldn't guess you'd run into any issues with rubbing unless you decide to lower the car eventually. I don't know what the offset is on your stock wheels, but am willing to bet they are pretty close to my sportline wheels, i.e. ET34. So that being said, an 8.5" rim with an ET35 should have no problem fitting especially with a 235/35 tire. The rear is pretty much the same story. With that offset, I wouldn't expect to have any problems with an 9.5" rim
I'm planning on running an 18x8.5 with an ET 30-35 on all 4 corners shod with 245/40-18's.

I also have a x-drive classic. Your specs seems to be fine but I would probably do 235/40/19 and 265/35/19 because that will fill the wheel well better since the x-drive sits so high up
I placed a order for my set last week and and my specs are Front 19x8.5 35mm offset 225/40/19 Rear 19x9.5 38mm offset 255/35/19 Should be getting them within 2 weeks. I'll post some pics when I get them installed. |

265's might be a bit too aggressive on 9.5" ET35 if you plan to lower. Check out this one on similar specs, but slightly less wide tires: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=814525

I got an email recently from Mod Bargains.com. I believe they have those Alufelgens, and other wheels, are on sale. It's a March Madness sale.

I was told that for a square setup it would be best to go with 225/40/19 all around.
Would it be better to go with 235/40/19 all around to have a more flush fitment? |

If I was to go square, it would be 19x9" ET35 with 245/35/19 tires, then add rear spacers if necessary.

No issue whatsoever, just like stock IMO except the car feels much more agile and quicker with lighter wheels and non run flats. |

Quick question, and not trying to hijack OP's thread, so, Blake, will it be safe to say that for set up: 20x8.5 et34 with either 245/35 or 245/40 all around, would be a safe bet?
