Hey guys, so I have BMS spacers installed on my car. 12mm in front and 15 in back. Every time I make a right turn and then straighten the wheel I hear a single knock noise from the right rear of the car. The reason I think it might be the spacers is because it never made this noise while they weren't installed. Any advice/info? Thanks in advance!

Update: I removed all four spacers and it still makes that noise, probably going to just bring it into service and see what they say.

Edit: I finally got around to bringing the car to service and apparently the front right axle boot was leaking. Got it replaced under warranty and I thought that would solve it. Nope, no change whatsoever. Still makes the same noise when straightening the car after making a right turn. I'm really pissed and am gonna give it to my service advisor when I see him monday. Anyone have any advice?

I can’t imagine how they could make any noise, providing of course they are installed correctly.

There is nowhere for them to move, the sit flush between the hub and the back face of the wheel.

I'm thinking the same thing, the only possibility is that maybe when I got my new tires put on the spacers were reinstalled incorrectly? Haven't been able to check for myself yet.

Alright so update: I made sure all the lugs are tightened down yet it's still making that noise. Honestly I don't care if it's just a small creak as long as the car is still safe to drive/mod.

How about taking the spacer off and see if you can still hear the noise. That would eliminate the spacer from the equation or not.

Sounds like a sway bar or sway link issue. I had the link break on my truck and it would "thump" in a situation like you are describing.

I'm assuming you got longer lug bolts for all four wheels. Did you make sure they are of the right spec and that the thread on them looks fine? I hope you are not using the stock lug bolts with 12 mm and 15 mm spacers.

He took the spaces off and the sound is still there, so not an issue with bolts.

Of course. That always happens when you bring it in for a diagnostic.

If there were female service advisors, I would have married one to assure my car always ran without any faults.

Actually the steering rack was replaced a few thousand miles ago paid for by insurance so that may be the issue. Although it seems like the noise is coming from the back of the car, not the front.
