My thoughts too - it looks like either Speed Yellow or Atacama Yellow. They are close enough that they can appear like each other in pictures depending on lighting and color accuracy.

"While [Atacama]'s easy to distinguish from Dakar Yellow, it's more difficult sorting it from Speed Yellow. Difference is, this has a bit more orange in it."

Or, he actually had them mix the color custom for him. Or he had it painted later. Or it's a wrap.

I saw this one too! I also took a photo. If you've got to be a cabbie, might as well do it in style!

I'm guessing that is a M Sport body kit conversion with quad tips and a M3 badge thrown in for effect. Bad ass for a taxi!

Come on.
It is Taiwan, not China. Taiwan, is an independent "country". Not recognised by Mainland China (in short PRC)...Taiwan is not on good terms with PRC, though basically all people living there are Chinese. A lot of them now prefer to call themselves Taiwanese instead of Chinese...

I see this a lot actually. Rich parents buy kid an expensive car. Kid can't find any jobs so he paints his car yellow and start doing taxi. Lots of freedom, you work when you want, do what you want. However once you go down this road it's hard to get out. Lots of youths wasted this way. You see lots of modded cars turned into taxis.
How are you so well versed on young adults lifestyles and job opportunities in Taiwan? I don't not believe you but I lol'd at how descriptive that was

U srs?

He is actually not joking. You see despite what some may think, there are actually some quite wealthy individuals in Taiwan (which as mentioned, is not China, nor anything like it). Some have children they would like see in "real" jobs, and if they are not, or do not have a family business to be part of, well then what better way to put that $150,000 (USD equivalent with import tax) than to be a cabbie! With little to no education, your going to find it extremely difficult to get work in Taiwan (or anywhere really) as the the job market is extremely competitive, and for those with that "entitled" mindset, well you can see where that could lead.
Oh, and this is the parking garage of my in laws/family high rise. It is relatively new construction but very nice, and this is in Taoyuan (major airport is here). Taipei is where you'd typically see the higher end vehicles, and where a large majority of them reside.
Chris

I would think the maintenance on a bmw taxi would make it a very expensive mistake.

I would agree. But for those who aren't paying for the car, nor maintenance, that really isn't a concern.

Yep. I'm from there and go back frequently.

I chat with the cab drivers and my Uncle's company employed these young adults. They don't last long. Their attenence are spotty and they're frequently late to meetings. After a few months they quit and go back to driving cabs. Drifter lifestyle.

The car is most probably wrapped in yellow to protect the paint and future resale value like most taxis.

That is awesome. Still ugly color though and I hate when people misrepresent their cars with a badge that doesn't belong
