Modifications

Hi Guys,

Anyone planning on any mods for their F34 GT?

Would be nice to hear what people have in the pipeline.

My mods for the future:

- Tint front 2 windows; passenger and drivers side
- Plasti dip wing mirrors black
- Front M Sport lip
- New rear boot lip spoiler
- Plasti dip the GT logo
- Dual left side exhaust with the rear diffuser wrapped in black vinyl

I have already plasti dipped the kidney grills and they came out great. Debadged the 320d on the rear to give it the clean look.
My car is Alpine White with the Red coral leather, M Performance brakes, 19inch alloys, H&K Stereo with the wide screen sat nav.

Would be good to hear your guys plans

Mine came with black mirrors from factory and I like them. Would like to debadge in some point. Mine is the white too, sport trim - I think I am happy with how it looks now but yes, lets see your progress

Planning on doing a full tint, and possibly black vinyl roof wrap as I have the alpine white as well and have seen some pics of it. Also want to lower around an inch with springs as I only have the 18" rims. Maybe rims in the future but I just spent around $2k on the FBO route so I'll have to wait on that. I would highly recommend the bolt-on/tune route if you haven't considered it yet as my car is a new beast with what I did to it! Check out my build thread or PM me if you're curious about this.

How did you end up modifying the rear bumper to accommodate the quad exhaust?

Also I would go de-catted downpipe as the extra sound and power is worth it!

I cut the original bumper.

I am more keen with a high flow catted downpipe because I don't want it to be too loud and obvious (smell).

Smell is nothing unless you leave it sitting in your driveway while running. Also sound is amazing in my opinion, but to each their own!

The law enforcer could get me easily on the road, just by smelling...

And it's quite troublesome when caught (inspection, reinspection and accelerated biannual inspection + fine). Lol

Agreed! I just love the sound/power from them. As long as you are good with ecu readiness though, VA emissions are fine on these newer cars!

I am currently away and can't take photo of my car. This is the best I can find on my iPhone (when the car is hoisted at the workshop)

To add, the workshop that fixed the exhaust helped to cut the diffuser.

Out of curiosity, do you have any more pics of this? I am picking up a quad exhaust, and plan to cut existing bumper in order to accommodate.

The photo above was not taken at the workshop that did my exhuast.

The exhaust guy also hoisted the car up, test fit a couple of times and kept trimming the cut until it looks symmetrical.

How did you find the JB4 install and what are your thoughts on the power?

I decided to go with the JB+ because my vehicle is leased and have to remove for any service. I also have the BMS intake. Definitely an improvement in power but in sport mode shifting has some rough spots. Adjusted the boost to 4psi.

The install was super easy!

I like it, especially once I installed the CAI. Currently its on map 1, I plan on moving to Map 5 as soon as I swap the down pipe and charge pipe.

Did you wrap the grills yourself or buy them? If bought, where did you find them?

Nice! What percent did you use, and did you go ceramic or regular tint?
