Yep, not sure why. I had an 02 Type-S and an 06 Type-S. I had the second one for 6.5 years without naming it.

First summer out of high school I bought a brand new 1974 MGB and by fall had named it FUC*ING PIECE OF SH&T! Drove a Volvo 240 named Elmer for twenty years, my Outback is Sue-B and my 340 is The Grey Ghost.

The first and the last Type-S models. Nice
I had my 06 S over 10 years. Was legit sad when I sold her. Still miss that car - was a fun little thing.

Yes, but a lot of men try to give their cars a sexy name. I wanted to avoid conflict with the wife, so I give them names that she can't confuse for me calling them some hot woman.

My 440i is named Cicely Tyson
My Jetta is named Oprah Winfrey
My previous jetta (RIP) was named Whoopi Goldberg
My Outback is the outlier, simply dubbed "Bessie" because it's a fat cow

I've always named my cars, so it'll be ridiculous listing them all, but I'll list my favorites!

Weezy (Louise) - 2014 F30 328xi
Black Betty - 2014 E84 X1 sDrive28i
Heidi - 2011 E90 328i
Lucille - 2012 JK Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Leigh - 1974 Chevrolet Camaro Type LT

I'm actually more surprised to see so many enthusiasts don't name their cars. Even Julie in HR that put eyelashes on her convertible saab has a name for her car lol. I deifnitley thought it was more common but the poll is dead even.

Never named a car until now.....Estoril blue2 so it is called "Bluebell" and the fact the dealership it came from is called bluebell and it has a bluebell sticker on the rear window....so it makes sense i think.

I named my car Maggie as in Maggie the Magnet. It seems that other cars and rocks love my car. I (allegedly) clashed with a Fiat (no damage to my car), a Honda Accord (no damage to my car), and I've had my windshield replaced once. A rock has left a small chip in the NEW windshield. That all happened between May 2017 and December 2017.
