Probably just needs to dry/cure. Give it a month before getting worried. Park the car outside on sunny days to speed things up.

People in really hot, sunny states like me in AZ need every bit of protection we can get so paying top dollar is worth it. For less hot climates, it doesn't necessarily make sense to try to get that last 2% of TSER. On my 335i I paid out the nose for 3M Crystalline but it was worth definitely worth it for Phoenix. Up in NJ or CA, I'd go a bit cheaper but probably stick with a Ceramic of some sort. CXP is a nice tint, we've had it on our X5 for about 6 years with no issues. It has a bit of a "thick" look (e.g. slightly cloudy) when viewing the glass at a steep angle, but it's not really noticeable unless you're looking for it. |

I've gone to Pro Tint which is in the SGV for my past 3 cars. Actually considering going this weekend. Was quoted $270 for 3M Color Stable on my 435i. They usually will haggle a bit also. |

How is the Formula One Pinnacle compared to the CTX? Got a quote for that for 400 wondering if it's worth it over the ctx

Alright I narrowed it down to Formula One Pinnacle, or Huper Optik Ceramic. They're the same price, seem relatively similar in performance... Which would you guys rather have? Do you have any issues with these?

Incorrect. Expect to pay north of $350-400 for good ceramic tint. The cheap stuff is $200.

I've had Formula One Pinnacle and Huper Optic, both were great.

None of them caused any interference whatsoever. I didn't notice anything tangibly different either.

Window tint purchased from a supplier costs the same no matter where the shop is located. Whether it's Los Angles or Washington D.C., the only difference in price will be shipping charges. A roll of film doesn't cost more for a shop in CA than it does in any other state. The amount of tint needed for an F30 of premium ceramic film is around $100-$120 depending on the manufacturer of the film. Anything above $120 is pure labor charge by the shop. A good tint shop should be able to do an F30 in 2 hours. So they can make anywhere from $80-$130 if they charge between $200-$250. So if you're paying $400 for ceramic tint, you're getting raped to the tune of $280-$300 for 2 hours of labor. That's ridiculous. I paid a shop $220 for 3M Ceramic tint on my F30 in Ohio. |

We do have awesome weather here though and the benefits of tint are actually all year round. So really, we are getting more us out of it than most other places were you guys have "winter" and stuff. I'm half joking, but I'm also kind of being honest.

Just curious if you can figure what the true hourly rate cost would be per vehicle when all that is factored in to the equation? Quote:

Yes it is! Mikes Tint in Orange right next to Angel Stadium, that’s for regular I think ceramic would be 225. They’ve tinted I think four cars of mine over the last few years. One time it wasn’t sticking well and they fixed it soon as I called, great service but they’re super busy so even with an appointment they take 3-4 hours to do your car.

Hey guys,
Any one here for Boston (Southshore area) with a place you recommend? I've seen pricing of around $400 for 35% ceramic tints. Basic tints are around $250. I hate the heat and want something with good IR rejection. Thanks so much! |
