Here's what my sport gauge looks like hitting redline from 2nd into 3rd. Does this look right or should this be producing higher numbers in the sport gauge? I mean, it looks like the 355hp and 355 ft-lb BMW advertises to me... BTW after having MPPSK a few more days I'm starting to feel it a lot more... |

Yeah I see what you're saying and I think you're right, I'll check mine again next time I do a pull and get a better reading. I don't know that it's a very accurate way to measure, in fact I don't know if it's supposed to represent crank or wheel readings, crank I'd guess. The only thing I'm sure of is my passengers seem to enjoy it, guess I must too since it's mostly up.

Lol... yes! I've been able to open it up a bit more. My first 200 miles or so I had to be tame in Comfort since I had the family cramped into the car because I wanted to take it on a road trip. Now that I've driven it for another tank of gas, it's really unbelievably awesome and totally worth the small lift in hp and the sounds are simply amazing.

Apologies for bumping old thread but it seems to be the most fitting one for my question.
I'm taking delivery of an '18 440i with port-installed MPPSK tonight. The exhaust is installed and all, but my advisor thinks the tune would have been done elsewhere. Should a port-installed MPPSK already have the tune done, or would that be completed at the dealership upon arrival? Thanks.

Mine was done at Port.. both tune and exhaust..
AFter your warmed up just floor it and watch the gauge ... If they both peak about 375 your good... if they stay at 350 or lower the tune was not done.. Gauge max is 400 is the same for stock and tuned... cant use that anymore Quote:

Yeah the exhaust is definitely installed, but I've read some threads where it was installed but the tune wasn't done for whatever reason.

I'd like to find a way to confirm the tune was done as dealers are incompetent. Test drove an X-Drive car with MPPSK and honestly didn't notice much difference from stock other than exhaust note so butt dyno might not give a clear indication it's stronger.

They couldn't confirm it was missing without hooking it up and running through the modules to check for it. Ask them for a printout of the software install report if you have any doubts. |

Not sure I believe it was always sold together on the 40i while the 35 had it separate.

The other is a different M Exhaust that comes as part of the MPPK along with the Tune. I am not aware nor have they mentioned anything about an upgraded air intake. Does anyone have a picture of what this upgraded one looks like? I may go back and ask the dealer to verify.
