Does calling a dealership and asking how much they charge for extended warranties take any more time then posting here?

Everyone's experience varies. My experience has varied at the same exact dealership. So just call. They all will want your business before 12/31. Now is the biggest incentive to get a car off the lot.

Not to beat up a dead horse, But i was quoted at $3200 for a platinum plan, 6 years/100K miles, and that was a best price i could find. Recently received a special offer at $2160 for the same plan. sounds too good to be true??

On a side note: u think they would budge on the warranty price if you offer to throw in another purchase (mppk)?

Instead of waiting for a respond, I decided to call the sale person up, he's from a bmw dealer in southern California. As it turned out, he had a typo in the offer. The offer is $3160. not $2160. I almost jumped on the deal instantly. I highly doubt that they will give much of an additional discount even with Mppk purchase. They might throw in a freebie or two.
