iPhone 7/iOS 10 Bluetooth audio issues - anyone else?
Is anyone else having major BT audio issues with their new iPhone 7 or iOS 10?
All was working fine on iOS 10 on my 6s but on my 7 it constantly either doesn't play or just disconnects. I'm lucky to get one song to play before it stops working. One time, I got it to work and then adjusting the volume caused it to freeze. Sometimes it shows as still playing on the phone but the display on the car stops moving, sometimes the car and the phone stop moving. Upgrading to iOS 10.0.1 doesn't seem to fix it unfortunately.

Did you try unpairing and pairing your phone again?

I also have issues. When I turn on the car, the phone pairs and goes into a phone call mode similar to when you access Siri on the phone. The connection is to my phone only and not an external call.

10.0.1, which sucks because it says it has bluetooth fixes but no dice.

I'm having it on CIC (2013 E70) and NBT (2015 F30). It was doing the "phone call" while not being in a phone call issue. I removed phones from both cars, also removed cars from both Bluetooth menu's. So far, on CIC car it hasn't come back, but I also only drove the car only 10 minutes... I'm convinced there is something going on though. |

In a 2015 with NBT Professional Navigation.
Upgraded from an iPhone 6S to an iPhone 7. Both were on iOS 10.0.1 and I'm having the same exact issue. The odd issue I'm having is when I make a call, it'll disconnect from my car and the BT will be dead. Also I've had messages on my iPhone 7 stating I cannot connect multiple accessories, which made no sense to me when it's only connected to the car... |

No issues with my 6s while I had it for the few days on 10.0.1 and no issues at all with the iphone 7 so far

Drove the car to work this morning and it worked fine, but all weekend I was plagued with issues.
Seems pretty sporadic. Hopefully there is another update that fixes it sometime soon though. |

I'm running IOS 10.0.1 on a 6+ with no issues so far. For those who have tried unpairing and repairing, I recommend completely removing the phone from the car BT system (Forget) and remove the car BT from the iPhone and start fresh. That occasionally clears some of the issues- worth a try.

Yessssss! I have this issue too with my iPhone 7+ and also my girlfriend's iPhone 7! Our previous 6s/6s+ was working fine even with iOS 10.

I'd like all of you guys to please go to Settings, Software Update, Show Current Version and make a post of what bluetooth software levels you are on please. This could help us narrow it down to a specific BMW release. I know one person who isn't on the latest who isn't having issues.

Similar Issue
I am having the same issue with my iPhone 7 running iOS10.01
The issue wasn't present with my iPhone 6 running iOS10. So far I have suffered: - Upon starting the car the system automatically connects to my car then says "Active Call" whilst ringing my own number. Check my phone & no active calls or apps runnning. - Bluetooth connects for the phone calls but doesn't show connected for music. - Bluetooth then disconnects all together. - Once a track is finally playing it wont find another track or cuts out & wont play anything else. - iDrive screen went completely blank whilst listening to radio & no audio or control to then power up some minutes later. - When listening to music stored on HD all the album artwork has now vanished (can't find out where to reload it) I have booked the car in to have the vehicle looked at in a few weeks, I shall keep the booking as some of the issues look un-related to the phone.
