interesting review. he seemed to like it but at the same time wasn't thrilled. I can't wait to drive the car for myself. I must say it looks fantastic

Outside of the looks, they sound like crap (high pitched revving engine = annoying), engines are not the best nor reliable (but I guess when you have money to buy a Ferrari, you probably don't care), the brand to me is just meh. I've always been more impressed by other supercar brands. Add on to that the fact they have to "optimize" their cars for a specific track for car reviewers is a sign they are not confident with their car setups "out of the box" - this is what I consider false advertising. They're just a status symbol these days. There are better "driver" cars out there. Personally if I had $300k, I'd buy a different brand. Everyone has subjective views on brands.

video made me laugh. i love this generation of 3/4 series cars. no complaints from me. I think all the need less nitpicking masks how great these cars actually perform. Extremely capable.

Didn't like the way it looks, and now some reviews are coming out saying it's soft. LOL.

Maybe not something you drive to work and grocery store but I don't think that is the point.

I felt the same way after driving an F30 335i...the words running through my head were exactly the same as Chris Harris'

If you mute the video and just watch the car perform, it looks like it really hauls ass! The only time you really need to put the volume up again is to hear Chris say, "this really is a very good performance car, one that keeps BMW well ahead of it's German rivals in this particular sector".
That's all I needed to hear...

No Drifting???? Rubish.. Glad to see that he did it anyway. Totally agree with him that the 4 series is WRONG!!!!!!!! are you listening BMW Its a 3 series coupe. Not a Damm 4 series if you want to copy Audi at least ditch the turbos on the M3 and go with a n/a engine that has 450hp. Thats something to copy not the coupes having different numbers. Also the car looks to japanese for my taste.

Yeah, the branding crying was annoying. I owned an E36 M3 coupe -- why am I supposed to care about some supposed heritage that will be destroyed when they call the coupe the M4 and the sedan the M3? I like the fact that they're moving to a more consistent naming model, as they've been talking about doing for 10 or 12 years.
Also, he seemed stuck on the idea that very few people will take their 435 to the track.. well, I dunno, seems like you see a lot of 335s at the track. Certainly the 3er is more common at the track than any competitor's luxury sedan, albeit I agree it's somewhat silly to not use something more fun or more easily written off. Does seem too big and heavy for my taste, but then, that's why I don't own one! The E36 M3 is the largest car I've owned and since then I've just gone towards ever smaller cars. |

What Chris Harris seems to have forgotten to tell you guys... is the reason why BMW said not to drift their fleet of test cars is bc we drove these very SAME cars from the airport to the hotel and to the track(the next day).
AND we would need to drive the very same cars back to the airport later in the day. BMW did not want us to burn up the tires. Also... BMW said it was ok to drift on the last two(low speed) turns leading onto the front straight. THAT is what most of us did do(me included). And by the looks of it that is what Chris did too. Dackel

I was talking about the guy who said he didn't like Ferrari, not Chris Harris. And for the record, CH loves Ferrari's, just not the company itself.
