Holy smokes, that is awesome! I was about to ask if you paid to record the lap, but watching the end of the clip, I see you didn't need to . Personally I would have rather preferred the engine soundtrack than dub step and electronic, but I'll be driving a manual, and I notice that this was an auto. Nonetheless, congrats on the car and thanks for uploading! Gorgeous EBII!

Pretty cool. I'll be there on September 8th and 9th.
How did you mount the camera at that angle? I have a suction cup mount for my Hero2 and was planning to put in on the windshield post entry. How fast were you going? It looked pretty damn quick to be only a 2nd lap. I'll be creeping.

Nice and smooth...driver in the VW Tiguan must be awfully good, he just walked away. Always amazes me what the pros can do with just about any kind of car.
Thanks for the nice video of the Ring.....looks like perfect weather. |

thanks guys! I was going as fast as I could... however with 3 people in the car and about 400lbs of luggage in the trunk it's not so easy to beat lighter cars like the VW GTI...
I could really tell the brakes fading about 1/3 the way into the lap. I'm surprised at how less invasive the DTC in this car is than it was in my M3. on my first lap i forgot to turn it off, and it really didnt slow me down too much. However the car handles much better without any computer help at all I'm a little annoyed with the gearing ratios... I found myself hitting the top of 4th a lot exiting corners, whereas with a 6MT would have been about mid-range in 4th gear or maybe even the top of 3rd. Nonetheless, still a great car! Sure isn't a E90M3 though... |

I like how there were some Gran Turismo references and tips You were going pretty fast!! But the white porsche flying by like an arrow just goes to show how many different levels of skills there is ... but then again, you didnt want to take risks with a brand new car and especially with passengers on-board.. I know it too well since i did the same thing four months back good memories

Great vid, I will be hitting the 'ring 10/1 with my EBII 335i xDrive, been memorizing the track in Forza 4
Racking my brain trying to figure out a route to the 'ring from Italy and back to Munich after. May I ask what you did? |

Thanx for sharing.
Unfortunately the Ring still is about 3 hours driving for me, and with wife + 2kids... you know it. That's why it's >5 years ago since I visited/drove the Nordschleife. Cheers Robin |

Me and you by Nero was number 2 and Sunshine by Avicii and David Guetta was number 3....SUnshine is the perfect soundtrack for the Nurburgring IMO.
