unfortunately selling a slightly used car is hard to justify someone could just spend 5 thousand more and get it brand new.

the best route is to sell to a family member who knows you. and knows the car.

carmax does give your more money than a dealer though.

personally I wouldnt mind getting a second hand bmw 2015 model with 2600 miles on it.

I see from your first post you are in Houston.

Is the CarMax new arrival in Houston (so new no pics or details) yours?

If not yours, if only used 2015 435i@CarMax in USA is in Houston, I don't know if that will influence price they offer you.

The basic rule of selling a car is you get killed selling in the first two years of ownership. That's where the steepest percentage of deprecation is

As this thread relates to selling a newly "used" Bimmer, what about the opposite of buying one?!? If we take the BMW dealerships and their overpriced CPO program out of the equation, what are the other viable (& less expensive) private buying/selling options? and where can these cars be found w/o having to resort to a new purchase or 4+ yrs old?

I'm specifically looking for M cars from say 2013-'16.... what online platform can I search with inventory? anyone know of a good dealership outside of the BMW network that gets a lot of inventory or can locate vehicles at a good price? I'll stalk a good seller and wait to find the right Bimmer! Doesn't seem like folks prefer to list under classifieds section of this forum.

I've seen some great deals in classifieds....once peeps realise their overpriced initial listing isn't going to sell.

And remember...everything is negotiable.

Fwiw, average profit of a USED car at BMW Dealership is around ~$2,800
