Has Anyone Paid for NAV Real Time Traffic After Free Period Expired?

I'm curious as to whether people are paying for their Advanced Real Time Traffic Information on their NAV after the free 3-year period expires. After all, to me the power of any NAV system is in the ability to route around traffic. But it would be tempting to just non re-subscribe and just go with the phone NAV. What decision have you made?

I pay for it; it's cheap and about as accurate as Waze or other systems are.

I pay for it. If you wait until Black Friday they usually drop the price to $30

$30 per year? Not bad.

Yeah I subscribe to it since 99% of the time my screen is used to see traffic before deciding on route home.

Yes, I think I took advantage black friday as well. I had a 39 mo lease (extended for a delivery, so 40) and even just renewed for that. It's great with redirecting and such.

How accurate is the traffic info? For $30 it's not bad if I can use my car and have it think for me. Cuz putting my phone in front of my Navi is ironic and funny.

It's pretty accurate; I think someone did a comparison on here and found it roughly equivalent to Google/Waze/Apple as far as updates go.

I do miss the police reporting on Waze though, not having that can be annoying at times.

I've paid for RTTI twice already. I wouldn't do without it. My preset button 3 is set to alternative route so it's super easy to check traffic over different routes to my destination.

I also pay for the concierge service. Mostly just use it to have destinations sent to my navigation while driving. I find this especially helpful when trying to find a business where the address is on a highway. Often these are difficult as the address might be entered as "US 46" or "Rt 46" or "Rt 46 E" etc. way easier to call my concierge and not even have to stop.

I shoot for the sale price. It works pretty well. Driving from the Jersey Shore to western suburbs of Philly today - lots of shore traffic. Pop-up said to watch for a disabled car and sure enough, there it was causing delay.

Yes, Waze (which I prefer) also does this, but it's a good purchase IMHO.

I'm a fan of RTTI myself. Always renew on Black Friday for $30.

Log into your BMW Connected account, review your services and renew them from your profile page. On Black Friday of course.

I've noticed on google maps that the alternative usually only varies a couple of minutes... Now that I can send google map info from my phone directly to BMW Connect I was contemplating to get it though... please be sure we all remind each other this Black Friday... $30 is cheap but just surprised we still have to pay for it though...
