how to avoid rust on the brake disc

Hello, everyone, could somebody tell me how to avoid rust on the brake disc? It seems there is some light rust on it.

It's normal and unavoidable. As soon as you drive it and use the brakes, it will disappear. It is simply a very thin layer of surface rust

What size rim/tires are you running? The rears look like it's rubbing.

18 inch. The tires and rims are new. Just less than 1Kms. I will have to check them.

if you`re talking about the part that is not touched by the pads, paint it. Rust resistant primer + 2/3 coats of paint.

It's a common issue with bmw brakes on lots of models. You can paint the areas that do not rub. Other than that it comes off when you use them. I still do not understand why they are not made of a different alloy or coating from the factory. Ceramic brakes do have this issue but are far more expensive.

This is what you need and it works well. Or you can get a leaf blower to try getting all the water off the rotors.

My wife's 435 does that every time I wash it.

I usually move it down the driveway & then back up to get rid of it during the drying process.
