Can anyone point me in the right direction to download the latest maps for my E90 318d (2009).

Also i'm i right in thinking that the FSC Generator is so you don't need to attach your laptop to the car?

No. FSC Generator is for use after you pull 1B file from CIC.

Keep the DE file, and use again as needed.
