Is cat bypass the same as a cat delete? Seems weird if the cat is still there doing nothing.

Haven't seen them on any BMWs yet, but my local shop is installing iPE exhaust on all the 458s and Aventadors around.

I wonder if the valve reuses the oem equipment or powered through other means

no , they are remotely controlled.

They are loud, I'd go for akrapovic in that price range.

Why? Comparing on the basis of performance, quality, looks, or sound is a complete wash. At this level, it's purely for bling and the brand name to show off at car meets. In this case, iPE > Akrapovic.

I'm leaning toward Akrapovic although all people have it with stock downpipe but i have HFC downpipe, so I'm hoping it will be louder than it is in the videos.

They are loud for sure. Open and closed valve.

RollinLower42 has their full setup and should have vids up somewhere.

IPE has always done remote controlled valved exhausts. This is the same price range as their offerings for the C63 AMG and E9X M3's

got deal on this exhaust for like 3200$ shipped and akra for 3800$ shipped to me :\
what do you guys think?
i already have a Hfc downpipe but i barely can hear my engine when i have windows up and a song going on.
