The people I know with the N54 all swear by map5 so I have high hopes for this one !

Plus I'm running 94 octane (since we don't have 93 octane here) so I'm hoping map5 will be able to detect that and squeeze a few more HP out !

Yeah I agree I've seen mixed reviews as well. Seems like the people not satisfied with map5 were mostly stock and not FBO from what I recall.

Its better only with e85 mixtures.
I tried it out with a 35% e85 mix and my car feels stronger than ever. About 16.5-17 psi.

We have no E85 here ! 94 octane is the best I can get at the pump. Which is equivalent of 91 octane with a 20% E85 mix.

It should be ever so slightly stronger than map 2 on map 5

So how did you like it?

I haven't had a chance to upload the firmware yet.
Today I removed my JB4 because I have to drop the car off at the dealer tomorrow to have the fix a MAF fault.

So I ran map 2, 5 and 7 .....

Map 2 I ran with 93, Map 5 I ran with both 93 and e85 (20%) and Map 7 I ran with 100 Octane CAM2 260GT ...

Map 2 is great, don't get me wrong...

Map 5 is awesome, especially with 100 octane

Map 7 is nuts, boost spikes to 20psi and nonstop pull...

To be honest MAP 5 and MAP 7 are VERY similar .. I did feel a bit more on 7 but this could be in my head.

I was really pulling with some sportbikes on road with no body else. It was crazy to see a pull in third gear go from like 40mph to 130 in 5th or 6th in like less than 15 seconds. Of course they pulled ahead when i struck the speed limiter at 130mph .. wish there was a wire for this .. so frustrating but maybe it'll prolong my life

Once Terry releases final version of Map 5 for the F-series... this should be the one everyone should run lol ...

Before filling up for 100 octane there was a R35 GTR using the pump .. was hoping he wouldn't be too far away when I finished but he was gone.

Anyway I beat the shit out of this thing and the 8AT can take the beating quite well. I will order FlexFuel wires soon to make sure I am not running too lean. Terry said it is possible even with the 100 octane so to play it safe I will purchase them -- they're only 32$ with shipping.

I wonder how I will do once my brother gets his pulley and tune for his B8.5 S4... He's going to be pushing over 400whp and 400wtq ...

Will get some videos when we go on the track. My pops has a 2014 E63s and that thing is a rocket. I raced it from about 40mph when I had just a ER dp and I didn't want a head start because I thought I was fast LOL ..

If anyone wants I can try to find video and post it .. any way .. I love the JB4 ... so happy with the power .. for now.

I also have been toying with Map 5. I only have 93 octane but FBO otherwise (besides meth). My boost is only peaking at 14.5 so I want to add a little e85 and see how map 5 adjusts. I have the e85 wires but havent installed them yet. YOu think they are necessary if I'm just going to add 2 gallons to half a tank?

I'm going out of town today until Sunday so the fun will be on pause until then...

The XI Msport models with the upgraded summer tires have their limiter lifted to 155-160mph ... I would have chosen this but I got a great deal on the car and it was already on its way over here. I have the 18inch Msport all weather tires that limit the speed to 130 because thats the tire speed rating.

Today actually -- I noticed my transmission beginning to slip (ZF8) .. I turned the JB4 off and then it wouldn't happen ..

hmmm I wonder if it is the quick change in weather as it is down to 20s and 30s for the time being or the abuse is catching up ...

I will let her rest and bit and play later. I am happy that without the JB the tranny is fine.

The torque from these tunes are nutty. I haven't heard of any other transmission problems in the auto sport trannys for the F30 ... has anybody heard of this?

Slip ?? What map/mods ? I know the BMS cars are running aggressive numbers and haven't reported any slip yet !

I am running Map 5 (new beta released by Terry) with ER dp and 100 octane ..

I just filled up with 93 this morning since I was almost empty and it is still occurring ..

When I turn the JB off it doesn't do it. I have been beating the shit out of the tranny but I always wait for the car to be warm and I don't over do it.. when i shift in its power band at heavy throttle the car shifts but doesn't engage very well. Sort of like a bad shift .. you can actually feel it slipping.

I have not had this until now. about 1000 miles on the JB4 about 8000 total on the car .. I am getting worried now .. I hope this is temporary but how could it be just temporary?

I am hitting around 15-16psi .. sometimes spike to 19-20.

If continues I will take off JB for a little.

You have 8AT and no slippage? try shifting full throttle at like 4500rpm or something?

maybe I will try map 1/2 to see if it still happens.... my life would be slow without the JB4 ahah
