It doesn't move on mine unless you push it up which makes in retract. What exactly does the brochure say?

it's from the BMW AU F31 brochure... obviously another false statement after the M Footrest! I don't think there is any AUTOMATICALLY RAISED for the load cover!

The M footrest I understand as they dont have one to fit a RHD car but I'd certainly be asking the question of the stealer in regards to the rear door.

I think we have to do a poll for f31users to see whether we should take action to ACCC for BMW brochure misleading information. I can let the m footrest go, but the load cover feature is a bloody big picture and shown as standard.

Had a live chat support session with BMW Australia (Daniel) asking about the auto raising the load cover upon opening the boot window/tailgate.
He had advised this is the standard feature and should contact BMW Sydney General Manager directly as this is a contractual matter that BMW Manufacturer cannot become involved in. I will contact BMW Sydney about the tailgate load cover opening missing standard feature this week.

I had exactly the same response from them when I was having my issues with the old car. "BMW Australia cannot get involved as it is a matter between an independent franchise and yourself" blah, blah, blah! All I can say is that if it is a srandard feature you jump up and down until you get what you was supposed to get. They tried that shite with me and there was no way known I was going to accept the car without the features I was told it had. Even though i had to wait a few months i did end up getting a new car! Good luck mate. H |
