Guys, my baby was supposedly loaded on WW Tiger on the 9th (that was the only ship that fitted with the shipment date I was given by the dealer), but it's still not showing up as accepted by WW when I search using the "Cargo ID:" field.

Knowing that these things aren't instantaneous (I said 'knowing', not 'understanding' or 'accepting'), what's been your experience with how quickly WW updates that listing?

I just want to know it's on the boat/ship.

Can be a day or 2 up to a couple of weeks even. Mine was pretty quick.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of / thinking. Oh well, I guess I'll know in 11 days or so (but who's counting?)

Mine was pretty much straight away Simon.

What I found though was it didn't show up on the listing when I just searched for the specific VIN. What I ended up doing was doing a broader search initially, using WBA3A5 (or something like that) and then looking for it in those results, and voila.

I see those loaded onto Tiger already registering 'Booked' and 'Loaded'. If it's not on the list now, unlikely it is on the Tiger. Next ship Boheme. Hoping mine is on that. Long wait...

How can I view what's specifically on the Tiger? The Track and Trace just seems to allow the cargo ID, which is the VIN. When I just put in the non specific portion of the VIN (WBA3A960X0NP04 - all bar last 3 digits), I get a load of historical stuff that all appear to have been delivered, but you can't tell on which boat unless you go into each record.

Simon, there were two vehicles loaded onto the Tiger on October 9. One at 11.30 and one at 10.05. Either of these vehicles could be yours.

Okay, cool. I assume you can't see the specific VIN details for those two loadings? Where are you seeing that? I've just spent 10 minutes trawling the WWL site with no success other than your suggestion of wildcard VIN which isn't showing mine at all.

Sorry for the 100 questions, but you know the feeling.

Thanks to HFW003, it looks as if my car ISN'T on the TIGER, en route to Fremantle. According to WWL schedules, the next ship from DURBAN to FREMANTLE isn't until the 7th of Nov, WTF, a whole month?? Ahh, maybe it'll get trucked to Port Elizabeth and be on the TOLEDO leaving on the 29th of Oct, arriving the 12th of Nov? That fits with the ETA for delivery of the 21st of Nov.

There's no secret to the solution, so I will post a tidied up copy that I've just sent another member by PM in response to a query and will post an update when I have some success to help others out:

... the secret sauce was not being so precise and not entering the entire VIN. Also, the 2nd ingredient was realising that the listing is in reverse date order. So, I entered "WBA3A960". If you do that now, you'll see the top 2 vehicles were loaded on the TIGER on the 9th of Oct. If you then select the VIN itself, you get more info including destination. Select a "DELIVERED FROM" one and you'll see the further detail at this end.

Hope that helps someone else... Thanks again to HFW003 for the assistance, even if the result sucked!

PS: HFW003 did actually say that above, but I couldn't see the forrest for the trees, doh, and didn't get it. I don't feel too bad as I apparently wasn't the only one

PPS: The other important thing, I guess, is that I believe 3A96 is apparently the build code for a 335i, so if you don't have a 335i... but the next digit is meant to be the restraint system and 0 is just seatbelts, so that doesn't make sense. Info from here:

The Boheme? I thought it was the 'Morning Crown' from Durban on the 7th of Nov or the 'Toledo' from Port Elizabeth on the 29th of Oct?

After being told "... that the vehicle is being loaded on ship Monday 7th October 2013", I am now told "... that it's exited the factory on the 18th October 2013, waiting to be loaded on a boat". The next bloody boat to Fremantle is still the 7th of Nov. Dec delivery, here I come

I don't blame the dealer, I doubt that they're making this up (they want to see it as much as me), but it is bloody painful!

I am still hopeful mine will make the Boheme but really on a wing and a prayer given I went thought a broker. On current dates car arrives day after I get back from US / Brazil F1 double header! Could be worse but I sold my old one 2 weeks ago and the transport situation is dire ATM

Seriously, I really hope you guys manage to track you cars down and get them delivered ASAP. I know exactly how you feel. I ordered my car in Oct 2012 and it was delivered in Apr 2013.

The wait seems interminable, but once you get your baby, you will forget about all that and simply enjoy!!!
