PWG or EWG

Hi everyone - I'm trying to figure out if I have an EWG or PWG. I'm new to this and any help would be appreciated.

99% sure it's EWG, as it looks like mine, and I have been running JB4 EWG

I think I recall that BMW switched from PWG to EWG in mid 2013 (Jul Build dates?)

Generally speaking that is true, but not 100%. The best way to tell for the 2013s is to visually check. I have an early 2013 build date, but have EWG on mine.

As said, that is EWG. I have PWG and it is not like that at all.

Im assuming you are asking because you will be picking a tune soon?

Which one are you going with?

Yep! I'm leaning towards the Dinan Sports tune at the moment, but hearing good things about JB as well. Maybe you can sway me in either direction?

Dinan sport and JB+ are very similar in the way they work. Only difference is Dinan has Bluetooth connectivity so you can change boost on the fly.
With the JB+ you will need to do it manually

BTW with these 2 tunes, it does not matter whether you have EWG or PWG

Definitely aware of the PWG/EWG for these two but I'm still under CPO warranty and want to start with something smaller, then work my way up to stages.

I used to have racechip, and love the JB4 better (not sure if it is because of the high flow dp that I got with JB4).

That said, I think most piggybacks don't differentiate between ewg and pwg.
