Rear Headrest Removal( Sportwagon)
Got a quick question. Have a new 2017 330ix Sportwagon and want to take out the rear headrests for better visibility. Never anyone in the back anyway.
The left and right headrests came right out, but I cannot get the center one up or out. Don't want to pull too hard and break anything , but it has the button on the seat like the others for up, down, and out, but no luck. Anyone know for sure that it comes out? Thanks !!! |

You know you can flip the center one down to improve visibility, don't you?

Forget what car maybe a Volvo we had there was a button on the dash that would automatically drop all the headrests in the rear. That was a nice feature.

It's a shame BMW didn't offer the folding rear headrest option (5DC) as a check the box item for the dealers or even make it standard for the wagons.
It is available by special order but most don't know about it. For me, folding the headrests gives me enough visibility.
