M sport steering wheel very delicate
I keep "scratching" the leather with my jacket zipper. I can smooth down the scratch with a razor blade. I've done this several times has this happened to anyone else?
I'm not chubby but kinda short so I imagine the seat is up pretty far in relation to the wheel. |

This is precisely why I want to get a paper thin cover for my M wheel before she gets here. That leather looks fragile, even though it is beautiful.

If you take a razor blade to the leather, you will be removing the urethane coating that protects the leather from wear, UV, etc. By scraping this off, you're effectively allowing it to get dirtier in the long run.

THIS! I used to HATE getting in my wife's car as the steering wheel would have a nasty lotion film all over it. This does not happen anymore.

Hopefully you will avoid scratching the steering wheel.

I am only 5'6", maybe 5'7". I have quite short legs so I have to sit close but not too close to the steering wheel. So when I have to exit & enter my car, I would scrape the edge of the sport seat side bolster if left in the driving position. I just move the seat back a bit when exiting and all issues are gone.
It's a very, very easy fix, especially if you have electric seats with memory. Cheers
