quick question about the jb4! thanks!

Hey guys, I saw a jb4 for sale used and I live in california so can't purchase the jb4 off burger, so i was wondering if it matters wether I get the pneumatic wastegate or ewg option. I have an n20. thanks for the help!

I believe the F30 used pwg until 2014 when it changed to ewg

Yes EWG and PWG boards and firmware are different.
Keep in mind, when buying used you lose the BMS warranty and support

He grabbed this from me. It was a brand new, never used JB4.

It is not an EWG specific model, or I should say it doesn't have the strictly EWG board. He might need to put the PWG firmware on depending on what ships on the JB4 stock, has the blue patch for his PWG.

how would I put the pwg firmware on?

can it mess my car up if I install without doing that firmware? or how will I know if I need it?

But I don't know if you really neeeeeed to download it. I think the stock firmware that comes with these tunes supports both.

Just ask the people at Burger, I find their support doesn't ask too many questions about where you got it from, or just make a post on n54tech.
