I don't have a left side glove box in my F30 ! :d I had one in my previous car and it happened a lot ) so I understand that some F30 come with left side glov box, that's cool unless you forget it opened )

I so forget it is there that i hardly use it...Perhaps i need to make it my sunglass storage rather than the passenger seat lol.

You only have it if you are cheap and don't add any options on the car!
So it is BMW's way of punishing the customers for not adding enough options!

Funny you mention it...after nearly 10,000 miles I never once left it open...until yesterday and I thought I broke the damn thing when I slammed my knee into it while getting in the car to go to work...I won't make that mistake again.

I've hit that damn little door with my leg getting out more times than I care to admit on my previous F30. I felt stupid each time but oh well. The new one will have the blind spot system so I will lose the storage door so no more worries (although that means my sun glasses will need anew home)...

I wish I had an option to choose anything in the car that I paid 60,000$ for no one asked my opinion, I must buy whatever the dealer good well will get and this one was not on his list I guess to prevent my leg from being heart

I guess most people understand that it was a joke... But if you have the collision warning, lane departure warning and blind spot detection there are on/off buttons there instead.

That's what I use mine for, sunglasses and a microfiber cloth for interior use.
