Hi all, have any members here bought the One Eighty angel eyes for their halogen headlights? If anybody has them would you be so kind to share experience with them?

I have not personally, but I know they do some great work. When I used to have my G37, one eighty was huge on the forums.

I have really been wanting to do it, but am afraid of opening the housing.

I actually went into the shop to have them installed. I had bi-xenon projectors installed, the style-2 angel eyes, and had the interior of the housing painted. I dropped off the car and it took about 1-2 weeks if I remember correctly. From what I was told, the housing was very difficult to remove and I would recommend you find an authorized shop around the area that could install it for you. Might be too difficult for a DIY project but who knows. Visually, it looks awesome. Makes the car so much nicer and I get complements all the time.

I recently saw some posts by OneEighty that they can install some of the aes that you see on the full led headlights. the ones that kind of pop out. so far the housing for halogens looks the same size as xenons so im hoping to get those as well.

also oss can always install raptors for you. they look better than the ones above.

Your car looks awesome!! I wish to do that but is a hefty price to pay for headlights! I will look in to it in the future maybe when the price drops.

Hi Calvinma ,i also want to get the same done and have been in contact with Artem. My question is have you had any issues with durability of the retrofit especially the LED's ,like are they all still functional and how long have you had the retrofit for now, as don't want to spend $2,500 and start having problems after a while.Thanks

$2500?!! for that just trade in the car for one with xenons... unless you are crazy upside down... or you can of course retrofit OEM xenons for around $1500 or lesss

Hi Kapkanimd, unfortunately i can't trade in the car so the only option is either OneEighty lights or the OEM retrofit.My only problem is that i don't know how to code, but i can do the installation part as i have read your post quite a few times now.The only thing i wouldn't install are the levelling sensors .Have you had any issues with your install or have the lights been working fine and no errors popping up.

Not a single error or issue... no need to install leveling sensors either.

I've seen an F30 in my area which has this retrofitted. Not sure which vendor but it kinda looks odd. From 30 feet away, I thought something's not right with the headlight and this was when it's off. Imagine what your car would look like if one or more of these SMD LEDs fail. It's not something you can just go and buy a replacement.

And yeah, at $2500, the real Xenon lamp can't be beat, specially with AHL. And also, the hardest part of the retrofit is taking the lights off the car and installing the new ones in -which you'll have to do anyways, regardless of which one you choose to go.

anyone know a shop in southern california that does similar work? Really like the 4-series concept corona lights (that never made production)

I will live with my halogens until I get my next car. Once you open up the housing, it will never be the same. Not worth the risk to have constant moisture inside the housing.

Kapkanimd thank you very much for your help, you have managed to convince me and I think I will be going with the OEM retrofit with the non-adaptive lights.

kapkanimd will the wiring diagrams you provided in your install be the same for non-adaptive headlights .

From what I have seen so far, the wiring diagrams consist of only xenon vs halogen. The adaptive function comes from the physical hardware in the headlight, and the driver's modules that go in them (giant circuit boards you put in). If you PM the last seven of your VIN I can pull up the wiring diagrams that are associated with your car to double check.

Looking to enhance your halogens or to convert them to bi-xenon?
I believe there is a guy here called blueaudi that worked a lot on the headlights.

Removing the headlights from the car is like 90% of oem xenon retrofit work, and you can still have to remove the headlights for oneighty LED as well..

Parts for an adaptive headlight are very easy to find.

guys stay away from one eighty angel eyes, their shocking.

I regret putting them on my f30, the angel eyes are thin cheap looking, LEDs look dodgy and I've only had them 3 weeks and 3x LEDs are blown already.

I asked oneeighty for a replacement they said theyd send replacement and just ignore any emails I sent asking what the status is...

Thanks Decided to go for the OEM Xenon retrofit instead , as was afraid of the same issue of blown LED's after some time but 3 weeks is unacceptable .
