Combination with red and white is great and sporty since many f30 owners choose black/silver rims.
OP - did you cover the part behind (inside) the grill before applying the plasti dip? Also, did you spray extra layers onto the chrome edges?

I tried this route before I got my m perf grills. Works good but it was just too matte black for me, I even used glosser and it still wasn't the result I wanted. I took the grills off the car though I thought it was easier and didn't want to gunk up the radiator.

I think I want to plasti dip my rims though.

I put 4 layers and it held up great. But I ended up getting m perf grills anyway.

Yeah, the gloss look definitely better. The OEM M performance grille isn't really expensive, it's like $50 a piece if you get it from tisher and I got mine from a dealer for about $60 each.

Looks great on my imperial blue and takes the old man look away from the luxury line lol

Did you take them out before spraying them with plasti dip? or can you do it while they're attached to the car?
