Thanks!! If they say that I want you to point out to them the N20 fuel economy is barely better than the N55. In fact, I'm convinced that with direct injection and the ZF 8AT the N52 would match the N20
Very good point!

I would be curious as to what you think of the steering feel(and feedback - I found it very light and numb - no matter which driving mode I was in(Comfort or Sport, although it was much better in Sport!) and the brake pedal felt(slightly spongy).

Those were my only two gripes about the car. But after 10 miles you forgot about those things and the car was very nice to drive - espcially on the track. The N55 and the ZF 8AT is just such a super combo - not enough good things can be said for it.

I also wonder why BMW offers the 8AT as a sport trans and as a normal trans. Why don't they just only offer it as a sport trans. I know really why - bc then they can charge extra for the Sport AT option - but I find it rather silly for them to do so.

And a third minor thing is/was the steering wheel (435i)did not feel that "special" or nice to me. It felt rather cheap for a car of this price segment. It was also kind of thin in diameter.

Did your dealer have one to drive? Mine hasn't gotten one in yet...
