Garage vac

Does anybody have any of the canister garage vacs that you mount to the wall? looking to see if anybody has recommendations. I don't want a shop vac that rolls around. Want something that is attached to the wall that I can use and hang up when I'm finished cleaning the car...

Thanks in advance...

I have the Sears Craftsman wall mountable version. It has a lot of suction power, a long hose, and a wireless on/of built into the handle. You can also get the Vacmaster version which is the same vac only blue rather than Craftsman red.

Ok, now your talking - so the on / off switch on the hose is really nice... let me look into that now... the suction is one thing that I keep seeing different reviews on different products... so I'm glad you can give a first hand review...

Thanks for your time in replying...

oh and did you need a dedicated 120v outlet?

No i run it on the 120 that shares the same circuit with other items currently plugged in my garage. I have a mini fridge for adult beverages on the same circuit and it never trips when I run the vacuum. Now if you have a power strip with lots of things plugged in you may have a problem.

That's a great buy at $100 too. I have the kind on wheels and while it's convenient to move around, its not so great when you pull and it comes sliding into your car.

Be sure to get the blower attachment. It works great for drying and getting the excess water out of crevices after a wash.

I've looked at that Hoover on amazon. Seems reasonably priced. The bad thing about these vacuums are if you read the reviews... Some say they are great, some say they only suck for about a week and then have issues, and some say they just suck (because they don't suck). I hate investing the cash if it's not going to do the job. As for one on wheels hitting the car... Yeah that is what happened with my last car and the metal clip scratched the edge of the bumper because I tried to snatch it closer. So that is why I wanted to mount something on the wall and just use a hose.

Thanks for the suggestion

This is what I ended up buying

So this is what I ended up buying...

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The reviews were great, and I decided to just call their customer service and see how "friendly" they were... well they were pretty good... they gave me a few pointers... said they use bags instead of bag less in their systems because it filters the dust and it's easier for their customers to dispose of..(I also think it helps keep them making money). The pro version sucks and blows... while it's not as powerful as a leaf blower, it should be ok... they also said the attachments for the pro series are better. The vacuum is the same as the non pro - it's just basically the attachments are better and it somehow has a bit better suction.

So as soon as it arrives this week and I get it installed - I'll post pics and give you guys a true review... this will be SO much better than the shop vac that blows more dust than it sucks - and better than taking it to the car wash where you have to rush because there are three others waiting behind you to use the vac.
