Are you running in Sport? Not a lot of burbles in Comfort, at least on mine. For overall sound, give it a couple thousand miles. Big difference compared to a new install. I wasn't too impressed immediately after I had MPE installed but after 3K miles, I think its perfect.

You seem to be forgetting that $290 is for EACH tip, so you'll end up spending $580 on the tips only. I don't mind paying premium for something useful but close to $600 just for tips isn't worth it for me, specially when I paid $840 for the actual exhaust, to each its own.

Disagree with your disagree. IMHO its a waste of money as it does nothing for performance & you can only see them when the car is parked.

Stock tips slide off the stock muffler & slide on the MPE whole deal takes about 20 minutes to do.

E92 335i + MPE was terrific; 435i + 340 MPE sounds good, but not terrific
Agreed the f30+ mpe was a bit of a disappointment when I first fired it up. I'm hoping it gets a touch louder over time as my e90+ mpe did. Waiting on the mppk and hopeful it improves the way it sounds under acceleration

Wrong. The CF tips are $460 for both. The Chrome tips are $170 for both. If you get the CF tips, then you don't need to get the Chrome ones. That makes it a $290 difference. Thus the reason I said $290 extra.

Well, the "waste of money because no performance" thing is kinda the wrong mantra to have here. With that reasoning, every option on the F30 is a waste of money. Heck, the F30 is a waste of money.

As I said, to each its own $290 "EXTRA" still a lot for something you can barely see, you can get a jb4 or for $1500 "EXTRA" you can get the dinan piggyback and when they pass you on the freeway, you won't even have time to see what kind of tips were on the car.
The fact that you can pay for a $50k + doesn't mean you have to add every bell and wishtle to it just because you can pay for it, if you think is such a killer deal good for you

Perhaps I am but as others have said I guess maybe after a couple thousand more miles it will be louder. Maybe it's because I'm coming from a G37 coupe who's exhaust note and sound level is ... legendary.

I'm in Canada, which 339 for manual 340 for automatic. My 435 is automatic and I got 339 first from local shop. They kind of cheat on me due to 340 is more expensive than 339. Then, the rattle noise come up sometimes. Then I did research know there is two version of exhaust. After change to 340, there is big difference. Louder and deeply. Especially in sport mode.
