There's a thread on page 14 of the exhaust modifications forum. My tablet sucks ass and won't let me copy and paste it.

"Pricking up my MPE today" about halfway down the page.

Regardless, I think it was worth the $1200. You gain no power, only throatier sound with burbles that are even more pronounced when mated with the MPPK. At idle, it's almost silent (after warm up). At low rpm, it's understated. But upon WOT, it sounds fantastic, deep and V8-like. You get no highway drone and you won't piss off the neighbors when cruising around your home.

Thanks man really helpful... I just wanna make sure you can hear a noticeable difference between stock and MPE

That's pretty much what the "resonator delete" people have to say about that mod. Except for the $1200 part.

It's definitely louder under throttle.

The old golf tee mod huh? I'm sure it ups the decibel level but does it provide a distinct and sexy sound? It could, who knows.

got mine for my 335i, totally worth it. Don't expect a huge increase in sound (especially from the inside cuz our cars have good sound deadening) but its definitely there. Sounds quite a bit meaner and was exactly what i was looking for. oh and the burbles in sport+ got a million times better

I got the MPE for my 328i it rocks even though it simply adds noise but it is all the right noise in all the right places.

It does sound great.. compared to stock , you could look into a akrapovic as well if the price gap is not too big, It looks and sounds nice.
edit : the price gap seems to be over 1500 by looks of it

It is not always louder if you read the threads multiple times as I have done. For about the same price I am having the Dinan exhaust installed this week on my 435. Has little or no noise while cruising and a bit of a roar under throttle. Goes for $1999.
Not loud but consistent.
The MPE thread made a big issue about the stock number and American vs EU. Very complicated and iffy. You might get the wrong model!!
Many complained that they heard no difference at all.
Read the threads and be cautious.
I want the Dinan.

Sounds fantastic. I have the MPE with golf tee and BMS stage 1 and AFE intake. It's like a symphony of awesome sounds. Couldn't be happier

I had the MPE on my e92 with Dinan stage 2 and yes it had a nice sound but I recently heard an Eisenmann exhaust on a N55 and all I can say is "hell yes!"

My 0.02 cents: Not worth it. No performance increases, noise is alright but could be better, not good value. Look at other options. I was going through the same shopping for exhausts and I settled on AA exhaust. Good sound, HP/TQ improvements, great price. That's a win in my books.

If you can afford the eisenmann or akrapovic exhausts, man those are drool worthy.

There's no doubt that exhaust like eisenmann or akrapovic sound fantastic but I went with the MPE to stay oem/BMW, increase exhaust note to perfect level for daily driver, zero drone and got a good deal at $950 out the door. Installed it myself in 45 minutes. In the past, I've had other cars with aftermarket exhaust. Some I've loved, some not so much, highway drone. Personal preferences have changed as I get older too. Probably would not want my 2013 335i to sound like my first car, 1977 Oldsmobile cutlass with straight pipe and glass packs, but at that time(1995) it sounded fantastic.

to echo another member, the MPE for the 328i/428i is pretty solid. I've only clocked about 300 miles on mine and it's already sounding worlds better. still quiet at idle but push it over 2000rpm and it's almost (almost, not really) a different car.
