Interior cleaner for F30 340i

Sorry, I also posted this in the wrong forum and couldn't figure out how to delete it.

What determines if a product is safe to use on the leather and / or panels and dash? Is there an ingredient to avoid that makes it unsafe to use? Same I guess for the rims, is there a product or ingredient that makes it unsafe to use?

This might sound weird but does it smell like leather? I used Lexol on my VW for 14 years and I swear it still smelled new when I sold it.

If you have Dakota leather then it is typical top-coated automotive leather. The top coat is urethane.

So you can use distilled water for maintenance and for cleaning 303 Aerospace Protestant OR any other plastic cleaner that does not contain petroleum distillates. I use Optimum Leather/Vinyl Protectant.

Leather products such as those sold by Lexol don't really do anything for top-coated leather. It doesn't mean it's unsafe, just doesn't perform as intended.

Just always vacuum your seats before you wipe them down and they'll last for a long time.
