Yeah I'm sorry man :
I'm going to be laser cutting some side skirt extensions soon so if maybe there's 6 more people that want one I might order a small sheet for the fins. I wouldn't be able to do a large quantity like I just did.

My original goal was to try and have them done before bimmerfest this weekend, but unfortunately that's not happening. A lot of deadlines at work were pushed forward, so I've had to stay late at the office. I've made two different mock ups out of foam core. One of them is a custom shape for my buddies e91 wagon. It's a longer process because when you're dealing with a piece of carbon that size everything has to be perfect. A lot of the side skirts that are for sale are just to boring for me haha, and the ones I like are around $1000+ or they're only offered for the f8x models. I'm going to put an order for a large panel of carbon fiber either today or tomorrow to make the 2 sets. Depending on how they come out I might be willing to make more if you guys end up liking them. If you want I'll start sharing some updates on the process of the side extensions. If all goes as planned in the next week or two i'll have mine and Rudd's finished to show you.


that's the mock up for my friends e91. I was test fitting it on my e90. Perhaps doesn't look the best on my car but if you see his car you'll understand why we decided on this design. Fits perfect with his m3 side skirts and 1M front.


i'm trying to design something along the lines of this. Its tricky since i'm dealing with flat carbon fiber panels but i have some ideas as how to make make it look similar. Again it's still in the design stages and I might go through a few more iterations until i'm finally ready to cut them at work.

The short and simple answer is I have no clue. A few of the e9x chassis have been asking if i'd be willing to make a group buy of these and this is what I told them...
"As in regards to the side skirts extensions, if I'm being realistic it's going to be difficult to actually make a group buy of these. There's a lot of unknowns right now that are still being worked out. First, the cost of a large sheet is crazy expensive. For a few weeks Rudd and I were looking around to see what was the best price we could get for a large panel. The largest panel most companies make is 96" x 48", so I would only be able to make 4 sets out of each panel. The dimension of each side skirt is roughly 80"x6". I wont say never, but as for now I won't be able to make the side skirts extensions. Perhaps once I figure out all the unknowns I might be willing to undertake a smaller group buy."

Maybe in the near future once I get mine made and I can figure out what shipping cost might be i'll be willing to make you guys some of these
