The Coding Database does not alter or ease the Coding process in any way.

It is a reference tool that is a repository of the known codings (ECU Code and its function) that you can do. It is many individual coding cheat sheets, for like and different chassis, all rolled into one.

That said, the Coding process itself is not difficult at all, and you probably would have no problem doing it yourself.

Thank you for the clarification, looks like I am back to paying. Rather not take the chance of messing up my car while I learn this also seems like a lot of learning for a one time change.

Not necessarily a one time change though, as the dealer may well update the software in your car when you take it in for a service or any other work. If they do this it will overwrite and erase your coding changes and you'll need to put them back in again. It's well worth keeping a detailed log of what you change so that you can make it as easy as possible to put back your changes.

Great tool for coding tips. I have tried to enable the sound option on locking (factory alarm) on a Dec 13 build F31 but it doesn't seem to work.

Still trying to find out how to enable dashboard lights in grey during daylight - someone must know how to ?

To answer my own question I have now found the option in iDrive, Settings, Door/locks to enable audible confirmation on locking/unlocking and now it works perfectly.

Still like to know about daylight illumination of the dashboard lights though .

Still can't understand why there's now a section for F32.
Do the F32 have different coding possibilities that the F30 doesn't have ?

Could you please let me know what i need to start with (i mean cable, software etc.), is there any step by step procedure?

instead of changing each parameter about rear tail light to turn on, what do you think about add to vo this SALAPA code S8TLA and S8TNA to have :
