Can't reproduce this at all unless you are first pressing the purple/pink multi quote icon first then quoting again.

It totally contradicts your generalization.
If you can recount your workflow getting up to that point where it posts a double post then I can try to recreate the problem (then solve it).

For example you opened the thread from the my forums section then clicked on the quote icon once then typed your reply and then hit the quote icon to view the quoted then then hit submit.
