My front sensors have gremlins. Two or three of them will randomly stop reporting, and the PDC beeping doesn't start until I'm in the red zone. Couple times it didn't beep at all during approach. Took it to the dealer who ordered a full set of 4 sensors from Germany, they come prepainted. Apparently any aftermarket painting will ruin the sensors. Anyhow, no resolution here yet. It's been a week and the parts haven't arrived yet.

Good heads up, thanks.

I will continue to rely on the 2 sensors located above and to the left & right of my nose. Have not hit anything backing up in 20+ years.

Most would agree, but we should be able to expect the included technology to provide consistent feedback.

Yeah, I don't trust mine so much ( e90 ) since its not very consistent in my parking garage. I just use it as advice that I may or may not listen to. I'm not even sure why its called PDC.... should be PDA for Assistance.

I took mine in on Friday for the steering wheel vibration issue, a passenger seat issue, and a delay in the PDC issue. This morning my SA called and said that he waiting for the shop forman to come in because BMW is issuing a new software update today or tomorrow that may fix these issues. I wonder if its BS and he just hasn't finished my car yet... I'll let everyone knows what he says.

My Nov 2012 build F30 PDC sensors seem to act as expected. Very similar to my late (much missed) E90.

Mine do not like the car wash (no bashing about the car wash, I know it's bad...).

I can take my car through the wash and my sensors will read full red, front and rear, for at least the next 3-4 times I put it in reverse.

Maybe it's my car getting back at me for taking it through the wash.
