At least in case of Germany importing a car from the US / Mexico only makes sense if you do not have to pay the tax and customs duty (which is about 30% of the cars value). Otherwise you don't save anything and you have a lot of effort on top. I will be in Mexico for about one more year, so for me this is not an issue.

I've someone in Germany sending me the new light switch, can't find it here in the US. I had this feature in my Saab 93 before I upgraded to my 328 and really loved it. Being from north east USA everyone knows to turn headlights on in rain or anything... here in the south maybe half the people do! Rear fog lights really help with visibility in heavy rain and fog... I am quite fond and will let ya know if I can make them work.

Hate those Audis with blinding rear fogs all the time in a clear night. They cause people not in the know to break - |

This kinda sucks as we did not have to do anything special for rear fogs besides getting the euro switch on the E9X cars. It was just plug and play. I am 100% sure coding will activate them.

Their website very clearly states ..."Swap switches; get rear fogs. No coding. No parts to add. No wiring to run." Hopefully they will help get to the bottom of how to make this work and/or update their website accordingly...
