Tire and Wheel warranty -- winter tires

I have the tire and wheel warranty, and my current set up is the mixed summer 19'"s staggered. If I were to replace my tires for the winter, would the warranty still cover the winter tires?

My guess would be no. That's why I did not buy the Tire and Wheel warranty.

They won't , that's why I didn't take it. And believe me even when you have the warranty on them , they always try to blame something just so that they don't cover you

In Canada, yes: all OEM packages are covered. But I'm dubious about buying run flat winter tires, or BMW rims for winter. Also, I'll likely only have the summer run flats for two years. This doesn't make the warranty a very good bet for me.

My dealer tried to sell me that insurance for $800 and it was pointless because I would need winter tires in the winter because the car came with summers.

The best insurance you can get is 18" wheels that will clear the calipers and enough sidewall instead of 19" or 20" wheels.

As long as you buy bmw approved tires for your series then it would be covered. I had to replace 4 tires and that's what they told me

What are bmw approved winter tires? I tried going on the BMW site and they only listed mixed summer and all season tires.

Time of year. BMW will have winter tire and wheel packages listed by fall.

The BMW wheel/tire insurrance covers any BMW wheels and tires that you have on the car at the time they are damaged. Of course that does mean original with the car, or others that you have purchased from a BMW dealer.

They are essentially covering any BMW supplied wheel on your car for the duration of the insurance policy. It could even include a 3rd set you purchase from them during the period of the policy. (at least that is what they told me)

Cheers
