I understand the TPMS system (probably worldwide) changed slightly since Wk10 2014 - in so much that the earlier TPMS valves don’t seem to work with the post wk 10system - (change of supplier to continental) but i don’t know whether the underlying system remains the same and only requires coding.
My car came from the factory with the TPMS showing individual tyre pressures and I coded my TPMS to show tyre temps as well as tyre pressure.

I have a friend in the UK that has a 2012 build and with coding got his tire pressure and temp readings with just coding. The system has not changed, just the coding in the computer. BMW just decided to activate it within the computer software from the factory as I mentioned before it was high on the complaint list.

FC, i am almost certain you can get it coded. There are a ton of cool features you can have coded for little money from the coding guys on here. I paid $100 to have 15 or so things that were not activated to activated. For example I can run my fogs with high beams, I can run them with parking lights, door chime off when seatbelt is not connected, sport+, DVD in motion, windows roll up with the lock button to name a few.

The F30/32 got new TPMS sensors at the beginning of March 2014. They are now sourced from Continental vice longtime supplier HUF. The new BMW part number is 36 106 856 209. Hope this helps.

Not debating that BMW changed suppliers. Manufacturers do it all the time. The ones from Conti do exactly the same thing as the HUF. The only reason why in march of 2014 cars are displaying temp and pressure is purely a code activation that was always there in the system and not a result of the new supplier/hardware. Otherwise my 2012 would not be able to display temp and pressure like the Contis do.
