Am I correct in my understanding that the maps are constantly being worked on and you can update your box to the latest map by connecting to a PC for free?

Since it's a water-to-air intercooler, does that mean the short ram intake heat soaking wouldn't affect performance (air temp at intake manifold)?

Heat soak (intake wise) is not an issue with any BMW turbo car

I'm not sure about that. Depends on your definition of heat soak but in 95+ degree days performance is a shell of what it is in colder temperatures. I haven't logged it but it feels like timing is getting pulled severely even running 93 octane fuel.

Correct, we are talking about intakes though.

Intercoolers and meth injections are what will make a difference in temps, not intakes.

Even when the intake is sucking in hot air from the engine bay vs. cooler air from outside?
