Hey all, just picked up a slightly older F30 as a fun little project to have some fun with. Currently it has the HU_ENTRY infotainment system with no nav and no bluetooth music but I'm looking at options for a larger screen and apple carplay.

I don't care too much about having BMW nav as I'm always on Apple carplay but these are the options, what'd you think would be best? I don't mind spending a bit of ££:

1) Android screen, approx £440~. Least preferable route for me personally.

2) NBT Evo upgrade - I can find pre-coded headunits for plug n play at around £1000 and I'm confident in installing everything myself.

3) NBT headunit upgrade and then fit MMI box - can't find many NBT kits, not sure if I can get these remotely coded or pre-coded but willing to see if its an option. I would save about £300 compared to an NBT Evo upgrade from what I can tell.

4) MMI box into the current 6.5" screen. Unfortunately the screen is too small for me, if there's a way to fit an OEM BMW screen which is compatible I'd do this then install an MMI happily.

Hi, I ended up doing a full NBT EVO retrofit so the apple carplay was part of the head unit as it's OEM. Definitely worth it, car feels much more modern now!
