Has anyone else dealt with something like this?

Hello first timer here,

I just got my car 2 days ago, and loving every moment of it, and I have run into a problem with syncing my ipod. I have a second gen. iPod touch and for some reason my car keeps on saying it's not supported. Does anyone know whats wrong with it? could it be because of the fact that it was previously jailbroken? i removed it.

Do you have a 2014 BMW?
Does it have Nav/Tech Pkg?
Are you trying to connect using BT or via cable/usb? I believe Gen2 supported BT 2.1.
What version of iOS is on your iTouch? You should have 4.2.1

You are connecting your usb to the center console and not the glovebox right? Try removing any configured devices in iDrive and try again. You may also want to make sure your iDrive is up to date: http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/con...re_update.html

What type of USB cable are you using? Members have had difficulty with non-certified cables. I use the OEM and/or Amazon Basics.

MY14, even late 13's don't have the USB in the glovebox,NBT deleted this.

As others have said make sure you use a genuine apple cable, "should" work with no problems.
