Play Music vs Spotify App (Android)
I have noticed that the bluetooth audio works a lot better with the Google Play Music Android app vs the Spotify Android app. Both are music apps, but sometimes I notice that the Spotify app doesn't work well in the BT audio. The controls on the steering wheel or idrive click wheel dont change the song and the songs are sometimes not displaying the correct track.
Anyone else seeing this?

Can't talk for Android, but the only thing that changes Spoitfy track for me (iphone) is the forward and back button on the right side of the head unit or to change it on your phone. The track doesn't update. If I play it from the Itunes everything works like a dream.

No cutting in and out with either? I was discouraged with the Android BT audio connection after playing mp3s on my Galaxy S4 resulted in constant cutting in and out (BMW actually indicates this in their Android compatibility table) ... never tried streaming from one of the Internet services though.

I primarily play from Pandora -- old versions had some issues but I haven't seen issues recently. Other than that, just normal BT mp3 streaming - no issues there.
